As featured earlier in our Swiss Round 6 Feature Match, Huang Chung-Chuan was playing Brilliant Venus Stargrail for this tournament.
He had a great run on Day 1, going 5 Wins and 1 Loss. With 2 Byes he earned from Regionals, that placed him 5th on the standings at the end of the 8 Swiss Rounds. Unfortunately, he was eliminated in the very first round of single-elimination on Day 2.
He then participated in the Asia Premier tournament and went 6 Wins 2 Losses, placing him at 18th on the standings at the end of the 8 Swiss Rounds.
Overall, combining his records for the Main Event and Asia Premier (excluding the 2 Byes), he went 11 Wins and 4 Losses. As Code of the Duelist went on sale just a day before YOT Hong Kong 2017, he could only form the deck a night before the tournament. This is a very respectable result for an unrefined new deck.
