This is the Asia Championship 2016 Hong Kong (TC) Qualifier Final Match, and we have Leung Siu Pan with Prophecy playing against Wong Tin Yu with Atlantean.
Siu Pan went first with a modest opening of a Jowgen the Spiritualist supported by 2 set Spell/Trap to the backrow.
Tin Yu activated Mystical Space Typhoon, but it landed on Spellbook of Wisdom, which made Jowgen unaffected by other Spell effects this turn.
Mermail Abyssturge attacked into Jowgen, but was flipped facedown by Book of Moon.
Back to Siu Pan’s turn, Spellbook of Power boosted Jowgen, allowing it to take out Abyssturge.
It fetched Spellbook of Secrets, which in turn got Spellbook Magician of Prophecy and then The Grand Spellbook Tower, putting Siu Pan in a strong position.
But Tin Yu had a Dark Hole to break out of Jowgen’s lock.
One for One brought out Neptabyss, the Atlantean Prince, but Siu Pan had another Book of Moon.
Spellbook of Secrets brought out another Spellbook Magician of Prophecy, which took out the Atlantean Prince.
Tin Yu had a Abyss-sphere that fetched Mermail Abysslinde.
Abyss-sphere popped during the End Phase, taking out Abysslinde with it.
Abysslinde then brought out Mermail Abyssmegalo.
Abyssmegalo attacked into Spellbook Magician, but a Spellbook of Fate flipped the magician facedown, preventing any battle damage to Siu Pan, while fetching him a Spellbook card.
Monster Reborn revived the Atlantean Prince in Main Phase 2, and Tin Yu seized the opportunity to go off with his combo.
Eventually, Moulinglacia the Elemental Lord was summoned and took 2 cards off Siu Pan’s hand.
Mermail Abyssgaios joined in the board, and now in a role reversal, Tin Yu had the upper-hand.
Siu Pan played a Spellbook of Judgment and follows with Spellbook of Secrets for Spellbook of Life.
Spellbook of Life revived Justice of Prophecy, which Tin Yu tried to preemptively negate with Mermail Abyssgaios, but unfortunately the judges had it ruled otherwise.
The effect of Justice of Prophecy resolves successfully in the End Phase, fetching a High Priestess of Prophecy and Spellbook of Fate.
Spellbook of Judgment fetched two Spellbook cards and brought out Spellbook Magician of Prophecy.
This allowed Siu Pan to play his Spellbook of Fate immediately, banishing Moulinglacia the Elemental Lord, earning him another turn as Tin Yu had to skip his next Battle Phase.
Tin Yu continued with the pressure nonetheless, by building up his board and destroying both Spellbook Magician of Prophecy and The Grand Spellbook Tower.
The Grand Spellbook Tower brought out another Justice of Prophecy and it was back to Siu Pan.
Siu Pan had exactly 3 Spellbook cards, allowing him to special summon High Priestess of Prophecy.
High Priestess of Prophecy tried to destroy Mermail Abyssgaios, forcing Abyssgaios to negate.
Siu Pan went off with Spellbook of Judgment and took out Bahamut Shark with High Priestess.
He ended the turn with a Jowgen on the field, and 5 cards to his hand.
Tin Yu simply attacked over with both Mermail Abyssgaios and Mermail Abysstrite,
before adding Mecha Phantom Beast Dracossack to his board.
A High Priestess of Prophecy was special summoned from hand, while another was revived with Spellbook of Life.
Together they destroyed the Mermails with their effects, and then attack over the Mecha Phantom Beasts.
As the game had ran into the End-of-Match Procedure and with no more cards in hand, Tin Yu accepted his imminent defeat and congratulate Siu Pan on his victory.
Leung Siu Pan 1 – 0 Wong Tin Yu
Leung Siu Pan is victorious in the Hong Kong (TC) Qualifier with his Prophecy and he will be representing Hong Kong in the Asia Championship 2016.
