This is the Top 4 of the Asia Championship SP 2015 and we have 2 Duelists who had earned their invitations through the qualifiers held in their country.

On the left we have Chiu Chza Hsiang from Taiwan up against Alex Yeo from Malaysia.

Both Duelists are running Performapal Dracoslayer.

Duel 1

Alex had a rather tame opening, simply filtering through a couple of cards with his Performapals and Luster Pendulum, the Dracoslayer, before setting 3 cards to the backrow.

Chza Hsiang attempted to go off with Performapal Skullcrobat Joker and Vector Pendulum, the Dracoverlord from Draco Face-Off, but both fell into a Treacherous Trap Hole.

Chza Hsiang set up his Pendulum Scales and attempted to pendulum summon Skullcrobat Joker and Vector Pendulum, but both were hit by Solemn Strike.

A card as set to the backrow and the turn was passed back to Alex.

Alex went through another set of Performapal Monkeyboard with his existing Luster Pendulum to bring out another Skullcrobat Joker, which unfortunately met with Solemn Strike.

Chza Hsiang preemptively activated his Maxx “C”, but Alex did the math and went ahead with his plan.

He filtered his Luster Pendulum for another of itself, to fill his Extra Deck with 1 more Luster Pendulum.

Alex placed Performapal Lizardraw into his Pendulum Zone, and declare a Pendulum Summon, special summoning Skullcrobat Joker and 2 Luster Pendulum.

Realising that he can’t stop the incoming onslaught, Chza Hsiang concedes.

Chiu Chza Hsiang 0 – 1 Alex Yeo

Duel 2

Chza Hsiang went first and did the usual Performapal deck filtering.

He then pendulum summon his whole hand.

And set up the Naturia Beast, with a Maxx “C” in hand from an earlier Retaliating “C”.

Alex draws, and concedes.

Chiu Chza Hsiang 1 – 1 Alex Yeo

Duel 3

Alex went first and attempted to go off with his combo, but was deterred by a Maxx “C”.

A Performapal Skullcrobat Joker from Chza Hsiang drew out Alex’s Effect Veiler. It was then joined by Performage Hat Tricker.

Outer Entity Azathoth came down and Chza Hsiang was safe to go all out.

Wavering Eyes allowed him to pair up his Pendulum Scales and fetch for Performapal Pendulum Sorcerer. A pendulum summon brought out Vector Pendulum and Pendulum Sorcerer, which triggered and fetched more Peformapals for Chza Hsiang.

Majester Paladin, the Ascending Dracoslayer was special summoned in Main Phase 2, fetching another card for Chza Hsiang during the End Phase.

Alex fetched Solemn Strike through Guiding Ariadne, and ended the turn with a set monster and 2 cards to the backrow.

Chza Hsiang normal summoned Skullcrobat Joker, and it was allowed to resolve. Azathoth and Majester Paladin fell into a Treacherous Trap Hole instead.

Luster Pendulum in the Pendulum Zone forced out a Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit from Alex, but Chza Hsiang had another Luster Pendulum.

A pendulum summon of Luster Pendulum and Pendulum Sorcerer finally drew out Alex’s Solemn Strike.

Skullcrobat Joker attacked and took out Glow-Up Bulb.

Alex drew and summoned Performapal Pendulum Sorcerer.

Naturia Beast was brought out and took out Skullcrobat Joker.

Alex tried to activate Master Pendulum, the Dracoslayer‘s pendulum effect to take out one of Chza Hsiang’s pendulum scale, but that move was invalid.

Master Pendulum’s pendulum effect could only be activated once while in the pendulum zone, and Alex had already activated its effect on Guiding Ariadne in the previous turn.

Chza Hsiang simply pendulum summon Skullcrobat Joker and with the boost from the pendulum effect of Pendulum Sorcerer, Naturia Beast was easily taken out.

Draco Face-Off gave Alex Rector Pendulum, the Dracoverlord to set up his Pendulum Scales, allowing him to pendulum summon back all his Level 4 monsters from the Extra Deck.

Chza Hsiang had a Solemn Strike against that pendulum summon.

With no resources left, Alex concedes.

Chiu Chza Hsiang 2 – 1 Alex Yeo
